Evaluation Requirements

Evaluation Criteria

Student selection for the Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies is carried out among applicants who meet the minimum application requirements, in accordance with the evaluation criteria and weighted scores determined by the National Agency.

In the evaluation process, students’ academic achievement and foreign language proficiency are taken into consideration. The total achievement score is calculated by taking 50% of the general academic grade point average (GPA) and 50% of the foreign language score.

Students are ranked from the highest to the lowest total score. The ranking is made within the relevant faculty or department, taking into account the quotas allocated to each faculty and department.

Foreign Language Examination

In order to evaluate Erasmus+ applications, students’ foreign language proficiency must be determined. For this purpose, an English Language Examination is administered by the university’s School of Foreign Languages. Announcements regarding the examination are made through the University’s main website, the Erasmus website, the Department of Foreign Languages website, and social media accounts. Information regarding the examination date, time, and venue can be accessed through these platforms.

Participation in the examination is free of charge. The examination date, application period, minimum passing scores, and other details concerning the examination are announced in the Erasmus+ application announcement for the relevant academic year.

The English Language Examination consists of two stages: written and oral:

In order to participate in the oral examination, students must obtain the minimum score determined according to their department in the written examination.

Applicants who do not achieve the required minimum score in the written examination are not admitted to the oral examination. Applicants who pass the written examination but do not attend the oral examination will not receive a foreign language score, and their examination/application will be considered invalid.

Other Foreign Language Examinations

Students may use valid foreign language examination results obtained prior to the application instead of taking the English Language Examination administered by our University.

Within this scope, scores obtained from foreign language examinations administered by ÖSYM, such as YDS, e-YDS, and YÖKDİL, or from international foreign language examinations such as TOEFL and IELTS, may be accepted in accordance with the conditions determined for the relevant academic year.

The accepted foreign language examinations, validity periods of scores, and principles for evaluating examination results are specified in the Erasmus+ application announcement for the relevant academic year.
