KA 131 Project

ERASMUS+ KA131 MOBILITY PROGRAM FOR HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS AND STAFF

What is the KA131 Project??

The KA131 project is a type of Erasmus+ activity that provides higher education students and staff with opportunities to study or gain professional experience in one of the “Programme Countries,” which include the 27 EU member states as well as certain non-EU programme countries.

What is the purpose of the KA131 Project?

This activity aims to enhance the competences of higher education students and staff while offering them opportunities for professional development abroad. In this way, the project seeks to expand international education opportunities for students, to equip both students and—under certain conditions—recent graduates with the skills necessary for transitioning from education to working life, and to enable higher education staff to acquire practical work experience or to strengthen their pedagogical skills.

What types of mobility are included in the KA131 Project?

This activity encompasses the following main types of mobility:

Student Mobility: Higher education students may either study at a higher education institution abroad or undertake an internship in a company, institution, or organization abroad.

Staff Mobility: Academic staff from higher education institutions may teach at a partner higher education institution abroad. Additionally, both academic and administrative staff may participate in a training course/programme or job shadowing at an organization abroad for the purpose of professional development.

Blended Mobility: Combining both physical and virtual components, this type of mobility applies to both students and staff.

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP): Jointly organized by at least three higher education institutions holding the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), these programmes include both physical and virtual components and are open to both students and staff.

Doctoral Mobility: In order to better meet the learning and training needs of doctoral candidates and to promote equal opportunities, doctoral candidates may undertake short- or long-term physical study or internship mobility abroad.

Who is the target group of the project?

The target group of this activity consists of students enrolled in formal education at higher education institutions (associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels), as well as academic and administrative staff currently employed at universities. Students and staff wishing to participate in mobility must apply to the calls for applications announced by their respective higher education institutions through the TURNAPortal system.
