Within the scope of Erasmus+ doctoral mobility, doctoral students may undertake short-term physical traineeship mobility in Programme Countries and partner countries with which an agreement has been established. The duration of short-term doctoral traineeship mobility is a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 30 days. If a virtual component is added to the physical mobility, the activity may be carried out as blended mobility.
The organisations hosting the traineeship may include different types of institutions and organisations, including:
Small, medium-sized, or large enterprises in the public or private sector
Local, regional, or national public authorities
Embassies or consulates of the sending country abroad
Training centres and institutes
Research centres
Chambers of commerce, professional and trade associations, chambers of tradespeople and craftsmen, stock exchanges, trade unions, and other business-related organisations/associations
Schools, institutes, or educational centres, including institutions providing vocational or adult education and any type of educational institution from pre-primary to secondary education
Non-profit organisations, associations, and NGOs
Organisations providing career planning, professional counselling, and information services
Higher education institutions (Higher education institutions located in third countries associated with the Programme must hold an ECHE. Higher education institutions in third countries not associated with the Programme must be recognised by a competent authority in accordance with their national legislation and must have signed an inter-institutional agreement with the sending institution before the traineeship activity.)
The traineeship must constitute a complementary part of the student's study programme and may include research activities relevant to the student's field of study. Formal academic recognition of the traineeship activity is not mandatory.
The following application requirements apply to the call for applications for the 2025 Project Period. Requirements may be subject to change in subsequent application periods. Therefore, applicants are strongly advised to carefully review the relevant call for applications.
Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral programme at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University or be undertaking specialist training under the DUS (Dental Specialization Examination) or TUS (Medical Specialization Examination).
Applicants must have a cumulative academic grade point average of at least 2.50/4.00.
Applicants for Erasmus+ Short-Term Doctoral Traineeship Mobility are required to submit a valid foreign language test score from one of the examinations accepted by the Erasmus+ Coordination Office: YDS, YÖKDİL, IELTS, TOEFL, or TIPDİL.
No minimum foreign language score threshold will be applied. Applicants will be evaluated based on their foreign language scores and academic grade point averages. Therefore, submission of a foreign language score is mandatory at the time of application.
Applicants will not take the foreign language examination administered by the School of Foreign Languages for Erasmus students.
Students undertaking specialist training under DUS or TUS must document their status as specialist trainees through an official letter submitted to the Erasmus+ Coordination Office via EBYS by the relevant academic/administrative unit.
Short-term doctoral traineeship mobility may be carried out for a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 30 days. Depending on the budget allocated to the institution for the relevant call period, the duration of the activity may vary within the minimum and maximum number of days.
A virtual component may be added to the physical mobility, allowing the activity to be carried out as blended mobility.
Within the same study cycle (bachelor's, master's, or doctoral level), a student may benefit from Erasmus+ mobility for a total maximum period of 12 months (360 days), regardless of whether the mobility is funded or zero-grant.
Students who have completed their doctoral programme may participate in traineeship mobility under the same conditions as other recent graduates within 12 months (360 days) following graduation. However, the application must have been submitted before graduation, while the student still holds active student status. No new application may be submitted after graduation.
Important: Additional requirements for the relevant application period, required documents, evaluation method, quotas, and application dates for short-term doctoral traineeship mobility are specified separately in the relevant calls for applications published by the Erasmus+ Coordination Office. Applicants are required to carefully review the current call for applications and the requirements specified therein before applying.
